Campground Policies

The policies and rules of Ross Hill Park are designed for your safety and comfort as well as preserving the environment and aesthetics of the park.

CAMPSITES: Only 1 family (2 adults and their unmarried children under the age of 21 of the same household) is permitted per site. Only one camper or R.V. is allowed per site. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted to camp without being accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Please observe quiet hours between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.

CHECK-IN:Check-in any time after 3:00 p.m. and no later than 11:00 p.m. If you or someone in your party is expected late, please notify the office to make the necessary arrangements. Guests arriving after 11:00 p.m. must remain in the parking lot until the office opens the next morning.

EARLY ARRIVALS: Based upon availability, you may check-in as early as 9:00 am for an additional $20.00.

CHECK-OUT: Check-out is 3:00 p.m., provided your site is available, you may extend your stay until 7:00 p.m. An additional fee of $20.00 must be paid in advance. You are responsible for leaving the campsite in the condition you found it. Place trash in the receptacles provided in the park. CHECK-OUT for rustic cabin rentals and rental units is 11:00 a.m.

VEHICLES: Maximum two (2) vehicles per site. Do not park on vacant site. Hang tags must be visible from rear view mirrors. Additional vehicles must be left in designated parking areas. ATV's, motorized scooters, etc; are not allowed in park. No washing of cars, trucks or R.V.'s. The maintenance of vehicles is prohibited in the campground. Speed limit in the campground is 5 MPH and is strictly enforced. Only visitor vehicles with posted handicapped permits will be allowed to drive into the campground. All other visitor vehicles must remain in the designated parking areas.

VISITORS: All guests, visitors and additional family members are required to register at the office upon arrival. A visitor is anyone who is not registered with the original party. Extra visitors cause strain on the restrooms, activity programs and other facilities. Please advise your guests of the guest fee. If you would like to pay in advance for your guests, you may do so at the office. Visiting hours are 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. Day visitors: $8.00 per adult 21 and older, $5.00 children 6-20 yrs. Children 5 and under are free. Any visitor registering after 8 p.m. must pay the overnight guest fee. The difference is subject to refund if the guest checks out before the office closes. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets.

OVERNIGHT VISITORS: $17.00 each adult per night, $7.00 each child per night. Children 5 and under are free. Visitors that set up additional camping equipment will be considered campers, are no longer classified a visitor, and are subject to the same nightly rates as that of our camping guests.

HOLIDAY VISITOR RATES: Adults $10.00 each per day or $20.00 each per night. Children $7.00 each per day or $10.00 each per night. Visitor vehicles will remain in the designated parking areas & are not permitted into the park.

RESTROOMS: Children under the age of eight (8) must be accompanied by an adult to the restroom. Please help in keeping the restrooms and showers clean. Please use the trash and personal hygiene receptacles provided. Please report any problems or damage to the office.

SWIMMING AREA: All Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at the swimming area. There are no lifeguards on duty. The swimming area will be opened at the discretion of the management. In the event of inclement weather the swimming area will be closed. Please do not swim alone. There is no swimming after dark. Swimming in the river is prohibited.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Payments/deposits on reservation(s) canceled within fourteen (14) days of scheduled arrival are non-refundable. A $10 handling fee will be charged for any cancellations made prior to fourteen (14) days.

PETS: A CURRENT COPY OF RABIES CERTIFICATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT CHECK-IN. A maximum of 2 animals per site is allowed. Dogs and Cats must be on a leash at all times. Pets are not to be left alone at the campsite. Pet leashes must be no longer than the boundary of your site. Fecal matter must be cleaned up immediately. Pets are not allowed in the swimming area. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets.

FIREWORKS: The use of fireworks of any kind are prohibited in the campground. This includes but is not limited to sparkiers. Anyone caught using them will be asked to leave.

DRUGS AND FIREARMS: The use of illegal drugs, firearms, or weapons, are not allowed. If any of these items are found, reported, discharged or used, immediate police action will be taken and eviction from the park for all parties involved will follow.

CHILDREN: Children (anyone under the age of 18) must be at their own campsite by 10 pm. Children are not to be left unattended in the campground. Please notify the office if you plan to leave your children with a friend in the campground. Parental supervision is required for children gathered at any site after dark.

BICYCLES: STATE LAW: All children under the age of 16 must wear a helmet when riding their bicycle. No bike riding after dark. Please park bicycles in the racks provided. Riders must observe the 5 MPH speed limit in the park. Staff reserves the right to remove any bicycle from any guest who does not obey the rules.

CAMPFIRES: Never leave campfires unattended. Fires are only permitted in the fire rings provided. Do not stack fire rings. Fires must be put out before retiring for the evening. Please keep a pail of water nearby.

MESSAGES: Messages will be posted on the bulletin board in front of the office. In the event of an emergency, the office will attempt to contact you via the P.A. system.

NO TRESPASSING: Please respect their space. Do not cut through other camper’s sites.

STEALING & VANDALISM: Stealing & vandalizing from anyone or anywhere in the park will result in police action and eviction from the park. Protect your personal items. Ross Hill Park is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

The management of Ross Hill Park reserves the right at all times to terminate the tenacy of a guest for the reasons former shall deem objectionable and without refund. Ross Hill Park will not be responsible for damage to personal property, accidents or injuries to guests including theft, fire or loss of valuables.
